Acupuncture
Acupuncture originated in China in pre-history and developed into a theory of meridians and energy flow. Recently acupuncture has become popular in Western Medicine and is increasingly backed by research.
Acupuncture involves placing fine needles at defined points in the body for between 3 and 30 minutes. Initial treatments usually involve 6 sessions with maintenance thereafter as required. Dr Liz Phillips is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society which provides on-going professional training. www.medical-acupuncture.co.uk
